Mechanism:

Quercetin is naturally occurring substances thought to maintain normal conditions in the walls of the small blood vessels. They are absorbed into the bloodstream in the upper part of the small intestine. Excessive amounts are excreted in the urine. Bioflavonoids act synergistically with vitamin C to preserve and protect capillaries, promote circulation and lower cholesterol levels. Acts as an antioxidant and helps prevent Vitamin C and adrenaline from being oxidized by copper-containing enzymes.

Functions and Applications:

Fairly good expectorant and antitussive, some antiasthmatic effect, lowering of blood pressure, reducing the brittalness of capillary vessel, lowering blood lipid, dilation of coronary artery, increasing the flow in coronary artery. It is mainly treated with chronical bronchitis, coronary heart diseases and hypertension. Others as follows:
